MRSA NOT a GAY Disease
I’ve been watching the country go through the big MRSA “Gay Disease” scare like it did over HIV but at least this one seems to be taming down a little quicker and I’m even reading apologies by newspeople who started the scare. Yes, it is effecting the gay community, but it is far from being any kind of “gay” disease!! I even heard one local news report the other day describing MRSA as only being found in the gay community!!
MRSA is not selective and it is not some message from God that gays should suffer. Many, many people from all walks of life are suffering and it will continue to worsen. I am disappointed to hear so little about Phage Therapy being used for the treatment of MRSA boils but there is always hope for the future. I do see a lot about Phages being used for different things like they are being applied to luncheon meats to prevent dangerous growth of bacteria so hopefully the medical world will someday recognize their benefits to fight disease.

Dear Wallace Ravven,
My name is Carolina Jardim and I’m a reporter for a Laboratory of International Jounalism in the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I’m also a reporter for the University main newspaper and for my homecity’s (Macaé) news. I’m writing a story about MRSA and I wonder if you can answer me a few questions about the disease. Since it hadn’t been published in any brazilian newspaper. I think it’s important to aware the world that it exists. I’m running out of time to write my story, because it’s been kinda hard to find people who actually had MRSA who wanted to talk to me about it. I have to write it until this weekend. I believe the only reason newspeople be stating that MRSA is a gay disease, which is a load of crap, is to make them selves feel better because if in their mind they are thinking that only the gay community is getting MRSA they don’t have to worry about this disease.
Anyways… I am also glad it is getting tamed down quicker.
