MRSA! Wake Up People!

October 16th, 2007 by Rhoda

Last year when I was trying to get my doctor to test me for MRSA last year after several gross exposures to the disease and I mentioned all of the people I find listed on MRSA Resources who have died from it she said, “Oh, really, Rhoda, people are not dying from MRSA! It is everywhere!” Well, she was right that it is everywhere but I just read an article about a 17 year old Staunton River High school football player who just died from complications of MRSA in Bedford County, Virginia that might need to be brought to her attention and to any one else’s who is still complacent about this growing epidemic.
How many more will die before doctors like her stop downplaying this issue and start taking all of the preventative action they can??? This is also a doctor at the clinic I have mentioned before where they do no more than roll out clean table paper to clean the examining rooms between patients. It is the UMC Baker’s Place Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska if you want to know where to bring your own can of Lysol…..

That attitude is such an outrage. Most docs here in S. Florida are very good about MRSA, but not all of them.

This summer I stayed in far north Wisconsin for about 4 months. The attitude of almost all the medical folks up there was unbelievably bad. I sat at an Infectious Disease doc’s office, where my friend was seeing the doc, watching that nasty doc in action. The doc was my friend’s *primary* even though she was an ID doc too.

My friend (blogger Livey) specifically requested to do the nose swab test for MRSA. This was because 1. Livey’s a part time health care worker 2. She’d been exposed to MRSA from a woman she took care of, who had to be hospitalized with a really bad MRSA infection 3. I saw more than one red swollen lump on her that sure looked to ME like MRSA, and cleared up with antibiotics 4. I was staying at her house, living in her living space, and I have probably the most virulent MRSA strain you can get. I’m a carrier, big time, and reinfect myself constantly despite all my precautions, and even though I now take both Cipro and minocycline daily and permanently. Yes, we were very cautious - but still!!!

And: That bitch of an ID doctor REFUSED TO SWAB LIVEY.

She said it was unnecessary, everyone has MRSA, and it would be a waste of money!

To me, docs like that are very close to being actual murderers.

    Hi

I’m an Investigatve Alternative health researcher from England, would you please go to these important link’s for the true cure for MRSA, please watch the BBC Horizon film “The- virus- that -cures”, this virus is extracted from the sewerage pipe that flow’s from an infected hospital and is the cure, note the statement at the end of the film, this is why the west is ignorant of this important research, also note how grotty the hospital is, hospital’s that are too sterile are making the problem worse.
